‘Boys fight, parents meet, carnage happens’

What occurs when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behaviour of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums and tears before bedtime? Boys will be boys, but the adults are usually worse – much worse. Winner of three Tony awards including Best Play and a Laurence Olivier award for Best Comedy, Yasmina Reza’s hilarious comedy about parenthood, marriage (and hamsters).

Hilarious to this played out, in an awkward meeting between parents after an "incident" involving one boy pushing another. The characters were so well played that it took very little time to recognise who they were, the arty one who is seemingly easy going, zen and creative, but is actually uptight and quite judgemental. And so the fun began. How we all cringed. The audience gasped and laughed and then Annette was sick into her handbag ...it was a very funny performance!

Hastings Independent

A great evening in the theatre of a thought provoking play performed so very well by this quartet.

Director Zoe Morgan has with authority, truly stamped her mark on this production and captured the essence of the writing in a no holds barred, no frills, hard hitting expose of the more primitive drives forever simmering under the social niceties of suburbia.

If you missed their all too short two night stopover in Hastings and enjoy a well written play with excellent acting then I would recommend booking for one of the other venues.
